Common Relationship Problems
If simple disagreements routinely turn into heated arguments or if you feel sexually or emotionally disconnected, it may be a sign that your relationship needs help. Sometimes partners unintentionally trigger each other's insecurities and cause each other to become jealous, defensive or withdraw and shutdown. If left unresolved, these problems may irreparably damage your relationship.
Overcoming the Past
You and your partner may be repeating patterns you developed earlier in your lives. After all, we learn what relationships look like and how to be in them from our parents or other caregivers. Unfortunately, these patterns are often laced with self-doubt and fears of abandonment. These harmful patterns may be contributing to the communication problems, lack of intimacy or emotional distance in your relationship. Understanding what these patterns are is an essential first step.
Feeling Seen and Heard
To help change these unhelpful patterns, I will help you and your partner tap into and share your unmet needs for affection, understanding and love by helping you communicate in an open-hearted and non-defensive way. Communicating in this way will not only help you resolve everyday disagreements more effectively, but more importantly, it will allow you to resolve core issues so you can rebuild the trust and intimacy in your relationship.
Every Relationship is Unique
Whether you're monogamous, navigating an open or polyamorous relationship or negotiating BDSM scenes and other erotic practices, I understand every relationship is unique and can only be defined by the individuals in it. I welcome couples of all genders, races and sexual orientations.
